Gathering Place Ministers To High School Track Team

My cousin, Tim Walters, took the Washington Court House Senior High School track team to Florida for their Spring break. Tim is a man of God with a heart for those students. He called me and expressed his desire to take the entire team to a passion play while they were there. He had about 65 students going on the trip and the tickets were about $24.00 each. After praying about it I decided that The Gathering Place should step up and purchase the tickets. For those of you who may not know, The Gathering Place is an extension of the Pfeifer Evangelistic Association and is a community bible study we hold every Wednesday evening. We take an offering each week to do whatever the Lord leads in furthering the work of the Lord.

The passion play was on Sunday night and Tim called back on Monday morning with the news. Over 40 members of the track team had been saved and 2 assistant coaches had rededicated their lives to the Lord. THANK YOU JESUS FOR SOULS SAVED! That is a big deal. It is the Lords will that all men be saved. Do not give up on the ones you are praying for. God is working and prayer is powerful.

Gathering Place Thanks John….

During the month of October John was honored by the Gathering Place for his faithfulness as their leader, supporter, encourager and Bible Teacher.
Cards, letters, and words of encouragement were written by many friends and family members. Julia Dawson, office manager, compiled a beautiful "Book of Appreciation" for John and presented it to him. To make the evening even more complete, a carry in meal was prepared by all who were present...it was nothing shy of an old fashioned "dinner on the grounds" ! The food was great, the fellowship was grand, the singing and teaching were anointed, and the love of God was evident to all. Thanks again John for your leadership and your wisdom as you help us on our way to heaven.

The Gathering Place

When not on the road traveling to a concert or church event, you will find John, Candy and Mary at "The Gathering Place" every Wednesday night. The praise and worship ushers the presence of the Father into each worship experience. Timely messages by John offer hope and rest to those who are weary and tired. An aroma of love permeates the room as hungry hearts are being refilled by the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Life is like a raging river that sometimes seems impossible to cross. There are, however, bridges that cross life's raging river. People are getting together and building bridges on Wednesday's at 7:00 p.m....The Gathering Place....Come and join us.
